So a great deal has changed since I last posted. One thing hasn't. I apparently have for most of my life been Murphy's Laws's bitch. Even my own MOTHER admits it. The worst part is the more progress I make in my life the harder I get stepped on.

For example:
Last spring I caught two varieties of the Flu in the same week. Which surprised the hell out of my doctor. That and the fact that I'd managed to drive in to see her without passing out. This past year I let her give me a flu shot.

In the fall I caught a cold, that turned into a sinus infection, that turned into an inner ear infection, that turned into another sinus infection. A month of sheer misery and caused me to have to apply for a special drop because I was too far behind in some of my college classes to ever catch up.

This past week and a half, I didn't catch a cold or the flu. Oh NO I caught VIRAL bronchitis, which is much harder to treat than normal bacterial bronchitis, and almost turned into pneumonia. During midterm week. Three midterms, two of which had a paper component. All while unable to breathe properly and running a fever.

Thank all the gods that I'm now on Spring Break and can sleep and let my lungs heal.

To sum up. No Flu just everything else

So I was looking at lexxiescott s LJ when she mentioned that she'd gone to this webpage and adopted some Dragons eggs. And since I love dragons.


I adopted one as well.

So two nights ago a very larger spider decided to perch on the wall above my bed.

I am very allergic to spider bites. Even spiders classified as non-venomous and smaller than my pinky fingernail can cause a very uncomfortable reaction. On top of that every time I get bit the reaction gets worse; I'm getting more allergic to the point of thinking about buying an epi pen.

So needless to say I don't like spiders in my personal space. I generally keep a three foot rule. If it comes within a three foot radius of me I will kill it. If it stays away then it gets to live. Best use of my geometry class I've ever found. However there is one except to that rule. If it hangs over my bed it gets killed before I go to sleep. During the day I'll let it go and hope it moves on, but I just can't sleep knowing that it fall or climb down on me while I'm asleep.

So two nights ago when the spider that was larger in diameter than a golf ball started hanging out over my bed I was upset. However he had tucked himself into a corner making it hard to get to him. I ended up waiting until three AM before he came out of the corner enough for me to kill him.

But last night that spiders Big Brother showed up on the wall over my bed. This one was more clever. I couldn't reach him at all. He finally left while was in the bathroom. However that was at 6:15 this morning. Thank all the gods that I don't have classes today. I just really, really hope that he doesn't come back tonight.

So I haven't actually written anything on here in forever. Ironic to think that I got this page not only to post my fanfic, but to pracitce the art of observation and journaling everyday. Well now I have a class where it would be a good idea to do that to improve my grade. I'm going to be posting observations about a single specific piece of artwork every day. The thought for today is... iconography: what are some icons in this piece. Well the planet and its satellite of course, but what are some of the subtler things. The choice of clothing for the figure as a robe, the use of light in the piece, the shape of the windows that seem either cathedral or roman like.
